PRIVATE POLICY 2021秋冬系列灵感源自于19世纪的华工移民,通过时装的讲述让人们看见这段被人遗忘的历史故事。在全球当下,众多亚裔因新冠疫情而遭受暴力、歧视与威胁的时候,这一历史成就显得更为重要。同时,品牌与美国华人博物馆合作推出了一款慈善T恤,并邀请多样化的华裔阵容分享他们的文化根源。纵使被雪覆盖、被风吹散、被时间遗忘,我们依然会看向他们曾经存在过的地方,铭记他们史诗般的故事。

在1800年代的美国西部,有广阔的山峦、沙漠、河谷、衣衫褴褛的矿工与牛仔,淘金热引来众多人士寻求机遇与新生活。在那个经典的美国历史画面里,也许没有人会将一位穿着低调、举止文雅、眼中闪着希望与野心的的中国移民放置其中。但事实上,有成千上万的中国移民在晚清时乘着邮轮来到美国淘金。在他们之中,数万受雇佣的中国人修建了「横贯大陆铁路」,那是美国东西两岸与国际贸易发展的重要里程碑。
